In addition to controlling odors, Pup-Fresh Zeolite Odor Controlling Infill supports the individual grass blades, keeping it looking natural and not matted even in high traffic areas.  Our unique infill is half the weight of other infill products.  Natural Zeolites are uniquely effective in adsorbing ammonia and hydrogen sulfide through ion exchange. Use Pup-Fresh as an infill or absorbent material. Pup-Fresh is also an incredible litter product for cats and rabbits!

Zeolite naturally recharges, allowing you to use the rock product for years at a time.  Once the odor has been completely absorbed, the odor causing gasses will neutralize in sunlight.

Zeolite’s cooling process is similar to transpiration a process by carries moisture through plants from roots to small pores on the underside of leaves where it changes to vapor and is released into the atmosphere. Because Zeolite is a naturally porous material and has a cell structure, it can absorb and hold water vapor for long periods of time.

When the Zeolite is saturated with water either by soaking using any water source or condensation, desorption is initiated by heat from sunlight at high temperatures. The adsorbed water molecules are forced to evaporate (desorption), and condensation takes place in the condenser. The sequence of adsorption/desorption processes is completely reversible.

Application

Different types of synthetic turf require different amounts of infill. For Pup-Grass®, we recommend applying between 1/8 lb and 1/4 lb of Pup-Fresh infill per square foot.

For reference:

• 1/8 lb. = 2 oz.

• 1/4 lb. = 4 oz.

Application Methods

Pup-Fresh infill can be applied using several methods:

• Hand broadcast

• Shovel and broom

• Fertilizer spreader (recommended)

A fertilizer spreader provides the most consistent results. When properly adjusted, it applies the correct amount evenly across the surface and allows for fast, uniform installation.
