Synthetic Dog Grass Designed By a Pet Product Company For Dogs and Their Families
PupGear Corporation is a leading pet product manufacturer that developed the first indoor portable dog potty in 2004. Shortly afterwards, PupGear created Pup-Grass®, the only synthetic grass designed by a pet product company. Pup-Grass® looks and feels like real grass. Pup-Grass®, with integrated antimicrobials and a proprietary backing that is 100% permeable, is a superior artificial dog potty grass system. Our dog grass drains 50 times faster and requires less water for cleaning. Pup-Grass® is realistic and looks like real grass without the maintenance and chemicals required for real turf and the reason Pup-Grass® is the best dog grass available.
Necessity: The Mother of Invention.
When we developed the first portable indoor dog potty in 2004, fake grass had a black rubbery backing with tiny holes punched every 4"-6" for drainage. The drainage was adequate for outdoor use. However, because this type of system is dependent on volume to increase the rate of drainage, it doesn't work well for small areas like a portable dog potty. Urine would end up trapped between the drain ports, and after multiple uses, dogs ended up stepping in wet areas and tracking urine with their paws.
The Pup-Grass® Difference
Soon after Pup-Grass® was introduced, customers asked to purchase larger pieces of dog potty grass to use in dog runs. PupGear offered Pup-Grass® as a beautiful realistic artificial grass landscape product for larger projects.
Pup-Grass® is used at dog day care facilities, dog parks, and vet clinics and has set a new standard for synthetic dog grass. The reason Pup-Grass® is the best selling dog grass available.
Artificial Grass by Any Other Name—Is Still Artificial Grass
Dog owners looking for artificial dog grass, believe they have many choices for different quality and styles of artificial dog grass. The reality is they do not. Because 90% of all artificial, synthetic grass or turf is made in or near Dalton, Georgia by carpet manufacturers, the machines that make carpet also make artificial synthetic turf using a "tufting machine." The only difference between artificial turf and carpet is the yarn that is used and the rubber backing.
Artificial grass companies that advertise pet turf, dog grass, dog turf, pooch grass, potty grass, and many other names that appeal to dog owners are merely selling an existing grass product that they renamed to appeal to pet owners. The fact is there is no difference between the landscape products they sell as Pet Turf or Pooch Grass. It is what it is.
